Topic: Why Dengue in Epidemic Proportions & How to Check It?

As far as Kerala is concerned Dengue is a relatively new disease; but it has spread to the level of scaring the whole society now. It is a fatal disease; incidence & death toll due to it are on the rise day by day. It repeats every year with better precision than our monsoon rains! Some deaths have occurred even in a matter of one day's fever & this has sent a tremor of fear across all the sections of the society.

 The illness as well as death are literally painful. Money & power are futile at it. Papaya leaf seems to be the only hope; what a pathetic state the globally applauded KERALA MODEL of health has shattered to. The speaker examines various reasons leading to the explosive growth of infections, ways & means to sustainably contain the menace in reasonable time limit, at affordable cost in an environment-friendly manner.

Hails from an agricultural family of a remote village of Kerala, schooling in Malayalam medium, graduated in Mathematics from Kerala University & did masters at Calicut University. Joined VSSC in 1972 turning down the repeat offer of job from Cabinet Secretariat New Delhi (alias CBI) & left ISRO (after getting promoted four times) in 1999 at the age of 50 on voluntary retirement.

During 1978 he got interested in solving mosquito menace and (as the American Patent Authority in 6338220 says) invented a novel method for that. When he was diagnosed Diabetic (2006) left the beaten track of tablets & Insulin injections and ended up in curing it by 2009. He has conducted numerous awareness programs on Mosquito menace solution, energy - environment conservation and Diabetes cure at family & professional gatherings as well as through electronic & print media. He maintains two blogs & two web articles each on Mosquito control & Diabetes cure and a YouTube channel with two dozen videos. Article on Mosquito control (named as GEM Technology) is translated by an African (Africa being notorious for mosquito problems) to their language Kiswahili (alias Swahili) that is spoken in more than a dozen countries & is the official language of four countries. Article on Diabetes cure has a hit rate of around 20 on an average daily; recent being 50 to 100 & total nearing 26,000.
